Organisational Structure and Supply Chain

Viewdeck Engineering Ltd is a company based in the United Kingdom, maintaining a diverse client base and delivery capabilities across the world. The Organisation operates primarily within the specialised sectors of Transformation Consulting, Digital Change, and Cloud Engineering.

In the course of our professional activities, we collaborate with a number of key United Kingdom-based and international suppliers. These partners provide the Organisation with essential goods, such as equipment for our physical premises, and critical services, including outsourced business processes, advanced software development, and global cloud platforms. We encourage all stakeholders to visit our dedicated websites, www.cloud-dog.com and www.cloud-dog.io, to learn more about the Company and our commitment to professional excellence.

Internal Ethical Policies

To ensure that we conduct business in an entirely ethical and transparent manner, we operate a suite of internal policies that are strictly enforced. These policies include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Recruitment and Selection Policy: We conduct rigorous checks on all prospective employees to verify their legal eligibility to work within the United Kingdom. Furthermore, certain professional roles require a comprehensive Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, particularly where employees may be required to work with vulnerable individuals.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: The Organisation operates this policy to ensure that every one of our suppliers operates in full compliance with the specific laws, rules, and regulations of the countries in which they conduct business. We actively seek formal confirmation of these commitments across their own respective supply chains.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: We operate this policy to ensure that all employees are empowered to raise serious concerns about the treatment of staff or specific practices within our business or supply chains without any fear of reprisal or negative consequence.
  • Staff Code of Conduct: Viewdeck is committed to the fair and equitable treatment of all staff members. Our code of conduct reflects our core organisational values and expected professional behaviours, making it explicitly clear that we maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in any form.
  • Procurement Policy: We strive to ensure that all potential suppliers are fully committed to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within their own supply chains. Our procurement policy and its supporting procedures set out the specific controls and checks undertaken to verify this commitment. We ensure that every supplier is made aware of our policies and adheres to the same high standards.

Due Diligence and Risk Mitigation

As part of our ongoing efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains, we have adopted comprehensive due diligence procedures. These procedures are designed to:

  • Conduct thorough internal supplier audits on a regular basis.
  • Effectively identify and action any potential risks identified within our business and supply chains.
  • Continuously monitor potential risk areas in our business operations and supply chains.
  • Reduce the overarching risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring.
  • Provide robust protection for whistleblowers who come forward with information.

Risk and Statutory Compliance

The Company has carefully evaluated the nature and extent of its exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in its United Kingdom supply chain. This evaluation is achieved through:

  • Evaluating the slavery and human trafficking risks of every new supplier during the onboarding process.
  • Reviewing all aspects of the supply chain on a regular basis through detailed supply chain mapping.

We do not consider that the Organisation operates in a high-risk environment. This assessment is based on the nature of our business, our vetted suppliers, and our highly assured technical, professional, and security environment. The public and declarative nature of our business environment further mitigates these risks. However, we remain vigilant; where evidence of failure to comply with our policies and procedures is identified, we will require that supplier to remedy the non-compliance immediately.

Effectiveness and Future Commitments

While it is difficult to state with absolute certainty the total effectiveness of the steps taken to ensure that slavery is not taking place, we are committed to continuous improvement. As part of our work for the next financial year, we will be considering more advanced methods to monitor the effectiveness of the actions taken.
